You can now display your Bored Ape at the online felt as GGPoker integrate NFTs into their poker client.
As poker continues to embrace the NFT craze, GGPoker have become the first operator to integrate them into the platform.
Owners of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) can now display them as avatars on the site. They will appear in a unique hexagonal frame to distinguish them from regular avatars.
Users will be able to click on the avatar to learn more about the NFT, including the ETH price of it, the name of the project and creator.
Owners have to connect the wallet associated with the NFT to their account to display their NFT.
There is a great deal of crossover in the poker community and the NFT community, with many a poker related NFT project having already been launched. This is the first direct integration of NFTs into a poker client, although partypoker have announced they will be doing the same thing soon.
If you are unfamiliar with NFTs you likely won’t even notice them as you are playing at GGPoker. If you are following this new trend, they will perhaps have the same status symbol impact as if you were to see an opponent wearing a Rolex at your live poker table.
